The FluXus Animation Film Festival in the Netherlands is to showcase two animated pieces from Iran.
The animations are ‘The Fox’ by Sadeq Javadi and ‘Fox and Wild Goose’ by Reyhaneh Kavosh which will compete in “International Films” and “Kinder Films” sections of the festival, respectively.
‘The Fox’ has already attended several international film events, including the 11th biennial Tehran Int’l Animation Festival (TIAF), 2018 Kinofilm Manchester Int’l Short Film Festival in the UK and 2018 CINANIMA Int’l Animated Film Festival in Portugal.
Noteworthy among the awards bagged by the animation are best short film award from the World Festival of Animated Film in the Bulgarian city of Varna and the same award from the 7th Cebu Int’l Film Festival in the Philippines.
Javadi’s ‘The Fox’ tells the story of a young fox experiencing its first love. Meanwhile, it gets caught by a hunter who puts a bell around the fox’s neck and returns it to the woods. Now, the fox’s efforts to survive and love all begin.
‘Fox and Wild Goose’ puts plotline as, “The white feather is flying to tropical lands with the gaggle of gooses. At night, when all are at sleep, white feather is keeping guard. On the other side, a cunning fox is doing crazy.”
The festival will take place in only one day on February 16 in the Dutch city of Zaandam with multiple screenings for both children and adults.
The audience will vote for the best children's film and the winner will receive a trophy.
