Crystal Palace Filmfest to screen Iranian animation ‘Bystander’

Iran animation ‘Bystander’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 10th edition of Crystal Palace International Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Sheida Kashi, the animation is to represent Iran at the competition section of the British film event.

In the flick, an old man spends days looking through a window from where he sees the people of his country are out in the streets to revolt. He who has once been an active revolutionary is now numb to all that happens around him.

Meanwhile, as he witnesses the uproars through his window, his past memories flicker in his mind.

Founded in 2009 the Crystal Palace International Film Festival is an annual festival held in South East London. The festival presents a diverse programme of the very best Independent films from all over the world.

The 2019 edition of the event is slated for March 7-30, in London, the UK.
