‘Night of the Full Moon’ wins big at 37th Fajr filmfest

‘Night of the Full Moon’ bags 7 awards at the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

‘Night of the Full Moon’ has bagged a total of seven awards at the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

The film that had claimed 13 nominations at this year's edition of the event, could take home the most important awards, including the Best Director which went to Narges Abyar, the helmer of the flick.

Mohammad-Hossein Qasemi, the producer of ‘Night of the Full Moon’ and the director’s husband, grabbed the Best Film award.

Elnaz Shakerdoust won Best Actress in a leading role for her breathtaking performance of a real character named Faezeh Mansourian. Upon receiving her award, the actress dedicated it to Martyr Faezeh’s mother who attended the ceremony.

The award for Best actor in a Leading Role was given to Houtan Shakiba who has had his first cooperation with Abyar.

Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee was awarded the Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

The Best Makeup award was given to Iman Omidvari and Mohammad-Reza Shojaee was picked as the recipient of the award for Best Costume Design.

The closing ceremony for the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival was held on February 11 at Tehran's Milad Tower.
