‘Dark Room’ to vie at Bengaluru Filmfest

Iranian film ‘The Dark Room’ is slated to compete at the Bengaluru International Film Festival.

Iranian film ‘The Dark Room’ is slated to compete at the Bengaluru International Film Festival in India.

Directed by Rouhollah Hejazi, the film will be screened at the 11th edition of the event.

The film, that enjoys a social drama genre, narrates the story of a young couple, Haleh and Farhad, and their 5-year-old son, Amir. The small family has recently moved into a new apartment building to start a new chapter of their lives; they cannot imagine what awaits them, though.

Amir is lost in the desert just in front of the complex, however, his parents find him soon. But then, Amir tells his father that someone has abused him and that makes Farhad very upset.

The troubled father is now looking for a suspect who has harassed his little boy.

Sareh Bayat and Saed Soheili are the main cast members of ‘The Dark Room’. Alireza Mirsalari is a child star that took his debut role in the flick.

The 11th edition of BIFFes, the Bengaluru International Film Festival is slated for February 21 – 28, 2019.
