Parvaz filmfest to honor Jamshid Mashayekhi, four other veteran stars

The Parvaz Int'l Film Festival is to honor five veteran artists, including Jamshid Mashayekhi.

The Parvaz International Film Festival has set to honor five veteran artists, including the cinema, television and theater actor Jamshid Mashayekhi.

Jamshid Mashayekhi, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Zhaleh Olov, Ferdows Kaviani and Mohsen Qazi-Moradi will be honored at the closing ceremony of the event.

The 4th edition of Parvaz International Film Festival will wrap up its activities on Thursday with presenting awards to the winners.

The Parvaz International Film Festival focuses on the life of the handicapped people and shows the problems faced by them.

According to the festival’s website, the event aims at “providing a reliable and true account of the life of the disabled, promoting the culture of selflessness by describing the selfless soldiers disabled in war, revealing unsaid aspects of the life of the disabled, and describing the challenges and problems faced by the family of disabled.”

Displaying the effectiveness of the disabled in the development of the society and creating the public culture for the society to have a better understanding of disability are also among the main objectives of the festival.

This year’s edition of the gala was launched in Tehran on February 26.
