A short film and a movie from Iran have garnered the best movie awards of the third edition of Sharm el-Sheikh Asian Film Festival (SAFF) in Egypt.
Directed by Fatemeh Mohammadi ‘The Oblivion’ won the Best Short Film award of the event.
The award for the Best Long Animation Film went to ‘Last Fiction’ directed by Ashkan Rahgozar.
Also, directed by Seifollah Samadian ‘76 Minutes and 15 Seconds with Abbas Kiarostami’ won an award in the documentary section.
SAFF is a cultural event held in Sharm El-Sheikh with the support of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, The Ministry of Youth and Sports, The General Authority for Tourism Development and the South Sinai Governorate.
The Festival hosts an annual contest for film-makers and films. The 2019 edition of the event aims to introduce Asian cinema to the Arab world.
