Azadeh Bizargiti’s short documentary 'Water Folks' had made way to the competition lineup of the 8th American Documentary Film Festival.
‘Water Folks' is a poetic narration of the life of a woman living in Hengam Island in Hormozgan Province.
The short is a production of documentary channel of IRIB.
Bizargiti previously attended 2018 Iran Documentary Independent Award as well as 12th Cinema Verite (Iran International Documentary Film Festival) nabbing Diploma of Honor from the event.
The American Documentary Film Festival (AMDOCS) is an annual showcase of films that tell real stories behind the real issues and people making an impact on the world today.
The festival was named one of the world's five coolest documentary film festivals by Movie Maker Magazine.
The latest edition of the event is set for March 29-April 4, 2019.
