A great scene can define a movie, save one; take it from bad to good, good to exceptional.
‘A Separation’ by Iranian celebrated filmmaker Asghar Farhadi dives deep into the relationship between a father and his son, addressing a married couple who have to choose whether to move abroad to give their daughter a good education or to stay home to care for the husband’s ailing father.
Filming the heart-wrenching scene of the movie ‘A Separation’ where it shows how the son, played by Peyman Maadi, devotes himself to his father gets everyone right in the feels just as it made the whole crew burst into cry.
The devastating drama is the one that can be watched on Father’s Day.
‘A Separation’ became the first Iranian film to win the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
Besides Oscar, ‘A Separation’ also received the Golden Bear for Best Film and the Silver Bears for Best Actress and Best Actor at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival, becoming the first Iranian film to win the Golden Bear.
It also won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film and the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Feature Film.
