Great actor Jamshid Mashayekhi passes at 85

Veteran Iranian actor Jamshid Mashayekhi has passed away at the age of 85 last night.

Mashayekhi has passed away after a long time of illness and bad health.

Mashayekhi was an imminent figure in Iran cinema well known for his roles in historical TV series such as ' Kamal-ol-Molk' and 'Hezar Dastan'.

He had also appeared in numerous movies, including 'The Cow' (1969), 'Retribution' (1987), 'The Fateful Day' (1994), 'A House on the Water' (2001), 'Thirteen 59' (1980)' and 'Cheque' (2011).

ifilm audience members may well remember the actor from 'Imam Ali (AS)', 'Tabriz in Fog' and 'It's All There' series.
