Iranian-Armenian film ‘Yeva’ releases new trailer

Iranian-Armenian feature film ‘Yeva’, directed by Anahid Abad, has released a new trailer.

The trailer - the second for the feature film - is made by Morteza Movahhedi.

The release of the trailer comes about a month after the movie was premiered at Iran’s Art and Experience cinema group.

‘Yeva’ is a war-themed story about a young woman who is forced to flee Yerevan with her daughter Nareh. She is suspected of murdering her husband.

The flick represented Armenia at the 90th edition of the Academy Awards.

The film has attended various global festivals and managed to grab several awards, including the best feature film at the 2018 Arpa Int’l Film Festival in the US, best film award at the 14th Rolan - International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Armenia, best screenplay award at the 15th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival in Armenia, and audience award at the 12th Pomegranate Film Festival in Canada.

In March 2019, ‘Yeva’ won the Grand Prix at the Socially Relevant Film Festival in the US.
