A number of workshops on screenplay developing and filmmaking are running on the sidelines of the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
The workshops that are being held during the days the festival is in progress are taught by some of the bests in the field such as Naghmeh Samini, Mehran Kashani, Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian and Luca Bigazzi.
On the first day of the film event, Naghmeh Samini gave a lesson on screenwriting highlighting the importance of characterization in films.
Mehran Kashani, who has written the scenario for ifilm flick ‘The Song of Sparrows’ in collaboration with Majid Majidi, also conducted a lesson on screenwriting on the first day of Fajr.
This year edition of the festival also had the Italian cinematographer and winner of several David di Donatello award, Luca Bigazzi, as a lecturer. He educated cineasts about how lighting and lens techniques can aid them in achieving their artistic purposes.
On the third day of the festival, the Iranian director of ‘Midday Adventures’ Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian will present a class on filmmaking.
The 37th edition of the Fajr International Fest which kicked off on April 18 is currently underway in the Iranian capital of Tehran. The event is set to wrap up on April 26.
