ifilm star Soroush Sehhat wins award at 37th Fajr

The 37th Fajr International Film Festival has granted a big win for ifilm multi-talented star Soroush Sehhat.

On the closing ceremony of the Iranian film event which was held on Thursday night April 25, Sehhat was announced the winner for the Best Director award for his debut feature film ‘Dance with Me’.

As a TV series director, Souroush Sehhat is an already known figure to ifilm fans as the channel has aired a number of his works such as his ‘Pejman’ and ‘Medical Building’. He was also in charge of script developing for the latter one.  

‘The Bounced Check’, ‘Right on Time’, ‘Sweet and Sour’ and ‘The Grand Prize’ which have also been aired by ifilm have been penned by the artist.

And eventually he has appeared in ‘Shams-ol-Emareh’, ‘The Man with a Thousand Faces’ and ‘Cold Fever’ as an actor and comedian.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, “Jahangir’s friends have gathered together to celebrate his birthday for one last time. The situation prompts them to reflect upon themselves and their lives.”

Ali Mosaffa, the star of the film, has also won an honorary award from the same film festival.

Besides Mosaffa, Javad Ezzati,Hanieh Tavassoli, Pejman Jamshidi, Siavash Cheraghipour and Mehrab Ghasemkhani are among the cast members of the flick.

The 37th edition of the Fajr International Festival kicked off on April 18 and wrapped up on April 26.
