I had tears in my eyes: ‘Setayesh’ on marriage proposal

Iran comedy star Ali Oji has spoken extensively for the first time about his unexpected marriage proposal to ‘Setayesh’ lead role Narges Mohammadi.

In his interview with Mehran Modiri in ‘The Gathering’ TV show, Oji described how he gave Narges the wedding ring in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH).  

"It was very unexpected, such a beautiful moment," the 34-year-old Narges told in the show.

Narges has gained nationwide fame by appearing in the series ‘Setayesh’ (2009) currently on ifilm screen.

Her husband Ali is also a known comedian and cinema producer.

The couple tied the knot in 2017.
