South Korea’s SICAF to screen ‘Black or White’

‘Black or White’ is to vie at the Seoul Int'l Cartoon & Animation Festival in South Korea.

‘Black or White’ has been set to compete at this year’s edition of the Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF) in South Korea.

Directed by Mohammad-Ali Soleimanzadeh, ‘Black or White’ will participate at the 23rd edition of the SICAF which is slated for next month.

‘Black or White’ will reportedly vie along with films from Germany, Italy, China, Russia, Taiwan, France, Argentina, the US, Spain, South Korea and Canada.

The short animation is about the relationship between a zebra and a butterfly.

Earlier reports said the Iranian films ‘Son of the Sea’ directed by Abbas Jalali-Yekta and ‘Mr. Deer’ by Mojtaba Mousavi will also participate at the festival.

Some 103 animated films from 28 countries will compete at the 23rd edition of the SICAF.

The SICAF is one of the most prominent animation festivals in Asia.

The 23rd edition of the festival “hopes to not only preserve past traditions but also discover with new, exciting trends within the animation industry.”

The upcoming edition of the event will take place on July 17-21, 2019.
