I said no to moustache shave for role in series: Actor to ifilm

In an ifilm exclusive report, Iranian actor reveals his obsession to have his mustache in all circumstances even if this costs him his job.

Siamak Ashariyoun who is the actor of ifilm series such as 'The Tenth Night' said through the channel's camera that he picks and chooses his roles with care, adding that he never opts for any absurd and unmannerly character to play in cinema and on the small screen.

Elsewhere in his talk with ifilm, he referred to his obsession with his mustache, saying that before taking on a part under director Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, he declined the filmmaker’s offer for the role of a police officer as such character needed an actor with no mustache.

He added that in the series ‘Cry Out in Silence’ aired on ifilm the actor took on a negative role teaching a character played by Fakhimzadeh how to do boxing.

The series follows a policewoman who has taken on a case regarding impure Ecstasy pills that have killed at least fifteen people so far.

An ex-con who’s just come back to Tehran after years of exile is doing his best to start a new life with his family, but he accidentally gets mixed up with the drug dealers and it seems like he’ll never be able to make a clean break with his past.
