2 Iranian fellow actors come together after 25 years

In an ifilm exclusive report two prolific Iranian actors, Daryoush Farhang and Mehdi Hashemi have come together in new series after 25 years.

Farhang formed the Piadeh theater troupe in 1969 and the two actors who almost have the same age began co-acting on stage. Both of them were graduated from the Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts.

The director of the new series is Saeed Soltani, who is also the director of ifilm currently aired series ‘Setayesh’.

The synopsis for the series titled 'In Search of Peace’ reads “Dr. Behrouz Amini who is an Iranian Pharmacist comes from an excellent family. He has been successful in his career and after 20 years of constant endeavor succeeded to produce a unique drug to cure cancer. The drug has no foreign matches and Medical community holds a ceremony to pay homage to Dr. Amini….”

Pejman Bazeghi, Kamand Amir-Soleymani, Hadis Miramini and Zahra Amini are some other actors playing in the series. Late Jamshid Mashayekhi, the great Iranian actor, has appeared in the series too.
