Iran veteran actor has expressed great excitement upon viewing his portrait showcased in Tehran-based sculpture symposium.

According to a media report, Ali Nasiryan who attended the second Iranian Elites Sculpture Symposium (for contemporary artists) reacted to his portrait sculpture on display at the event.

The report quoted the actor as saying, "When the portrait of a well-known artist is to be made, the work must be done by prominent and lightweight sculptors so that it turns out to be fine."

Upon seeing his sculpture, he said, "I've been thrilled to see this sculpture and feel really good about this portrait" made by Mahnaz Norouzi.

He has appeared in numerous movies and series. Among his most notable performances are in the movies ‘Kamal-ol-Molk’ (1983), ‘Mirza Nowruz's Shoes’ (1985), ‘Captain Khorshid’ (1986), ‘Scent of Joseph’s Shirt’ (1995), ‘The Silent King’ (2003), 'Saturday Hunter' (2011), and 'Iran Burger' (2014).

He also played roles in the series 'Heads on Gallows’ (1984), ‘Hezar Dastan’ (1979-1987), 'The Wolves' (1986-1987), 'The Lost Paradise' (1996), 'Neighbors' (2000), 'Lighter than Darkness' (1999-2002), 'Floating in a Bubble' (2006), ‘The Forbidden Fruit’ (2007), 'Sheikh Baha'ee' (2003-2008), 'Mankind's Land' (2009), and 'Sparrow's Dream' (2012).
