Iranian director named Sedicicorto jury member

Iranian director and playwright Arash Abbasi has been named as a member of the jury panel for the 2019 edition of the Sedicicorto International Film Festival in Italy.

According to the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, Abbasi will serve as a juror at the 16th edition of the event.

Abbasi, a scriptwriter and theater director, is a graduate of the University of Bologna in Italy.

He had served as juror and artistic director at several film and theater festivals in Italy.

Since its establishment in 2004, the Sedicicorto has been held every year in the month of October in the city of Forli.

The gala is aimed to offer visibility to young authors and to provide an opportunity for film industry professionals to exchange experiences.

The 16th Sedicicorto International Film Festival will take place on October 4-13, 2019.
