Davoudnejad says yes to cameo roles: ifilm Exclusive

In an exclusive report, Reza Davoudnejad tells ifilm how he got interested in cameo appearances.

Actor in ifilm hilarious comedy ‘The Sting and the Bee’ has recently had a brief appearance in Alireza Motamedi’s feature film ‘Reza’. The role, however short, has awakened the interest in the actor to appreciate and welcome roles of the sort in the future.

He explains how he has enjoyed his appearance in the flick upon seeing the whole film once it was screened.

The film narrates the story of an author named Reza who aims to write a story about the immigration of his ancestors to Isfahan –an ancient city in Iran. This character and his wife separate but he finds it difficult to start a new life without her. Therefore, Reza starts thinking about his own personality to find out why his wife can’t tolerate him.

Notable among the cast are Sahar Dolatshahi, Setareh Pesyani, Afsar Asadi and Solmaz Ghani.

‘Reza’ has so far attended a number of international film events and has succeeded to gain awards too. It was presented at the 33rd Belfort Entrevues International Film Festival in France and won the 15,000 Euro Cine+Distribution Support Award.
