Iran acclaimed movie ‘6.5 Per Meter’ enters home market

Iranian acclaimed feature ‘6.5 Per Meter’ enters domestic home market.

Iranian acclaimed feature ‘6.5 Per Meter’ (6.5 Toman Per Meter) has entered the domestic market of home entertainment.

Directed by Saeed Roustaee, ‘6.5 Per Meter’ was selected as one of the competing titles at the 37th Fajr Film Festival and managed to win a number of awards.

This cinematic work is a social drama that deals with the issue of drug abuse and addiction.

Film sales company Wild Bunch is the international seller of the flick.

‘6.5 Per Meter’ is scheduled to go on screen at the 76th Venice International Film Festival in this August-September.

Some of the cast members are Farhad Aslani, Amir Jadidi, Parinaz Izadyar, and the internationally celebrated actors Peyman Maadi and Navid Mohammadzadeh.

The film has sold more than 270 billion Rials. It is now the best-selling social drama in the history of Iranian cinema.

Roustaee who is a young talented director previously made a movie titled ‘Life and a Day’ which was a big success.

‘Life and a Day’ won Roustaee a Crystal Simorgh award at the 34th Fajr Film Festival.
