‘Setayesh 3’ official trailer released

Iranian hit series ‘Setayesh’ has released the official trailer for its third season.

Written by Saeed Matlabi and directed by Saeed Soltani, the third season is scheduled to premiere on Iranian national television on September 14th.

Produced by Arman Zarinkoub, ‘Setayesh 3’ began shooting in Tehran in spring 2018 and wrapped up filming last winter.

Other shooting locations for the film include the southern city of Bandar Abbas and the northern city of Ramsar.

‘Setayesh’ is a story about a man named Taher who has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein's war of aggression.

His friend, who has deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend's sister, Setayesh, he agrees.

Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.

The first two seasons of ‘Setayesh’ are set in early 1980s Iran with the story continuing until the present day.

The third season will be a prequel to the first and second seasons, consisting of 30 episodes, focusing on the relationships between the characters of the first two seasons.

Daryoush Arjmand, Sima Tirandaz, Mehdi Solouki, Narges Mohammadi, Qorban Najafi, Fariba Naderi, Sina Shafiee, Farhad Jam, Keyhan Maleki, Amir-Mohammad Zand, Kamand Amir-Soleimani, Shahram Pourassad, Mahtaj Nojoumi, Atash Taqipour, Mehrnoush Sattari, and Ali Milani are among the cast of the third season.
