Tehran Int’l Animation Fest hosts ‘Steel Window’

‘Steel Window’ directed by Sara Shafieipour is currently on screen at the 10th edition of Tehran International Animation Festival.

Iranian spiritual animation ‘Steel Window’ directed by Sara Shafieipour participates in the 10th edition of Tehran International Animation Festival.

The film’s director told media on Wednesday that the film is more than 3 minutes animation based on a religious lullaby and follows the story of a mother and her kid travelling to the holy city of Mashhad to visit the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

“The Steel Window" is a revered place in Imam Reza’s (AS) holy shrine in front of the blessed grave of Imam in a courtyard.

Shafieipour also added that Tehran International Animation Festival has triggered a considerable surge in the production of animation films in different subjects and forms.

The festival will be held in various cinemas and cultural centers in the capital, Tehran, as well as provincial cinemas.

Held by the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults, many award-winning animations will participate at the TIAF.

The 10th Tehran International Animation Festival is being held March 5-9, 2017.
