‘Mr. Deer’ to vie at Show Me Shorts Fest

 Iranian animation ‘Mr. Deer’ is to vie at the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand.

Directed by Mojtaba Mousavi, the animation will be screened at the main competition section of the event.

Produced by Elaheh Farnia, ‘Mr. Deer’ took two years of production with professional tech crew in collaboration.

The 9-minute animation is set in an unknown time, in a ruined subway station which is similar to those in modern European societies. People in this society have animal faces and have forgotten humane values.

‘Mr. Deer’ has gone on screen at international film events such as the 2018 Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.

Show Me Shorts is New Zealand’s leading international short film festival.

The 14th edition of the festival is slated for October 5-30, 2019 in New Zealand.
