‘Break Simultaneously Twenty Bones’ reveals backstage

Iranian-Afghan joint production releases behind the scenes footage.

‘Break Simultaneously Twenty Bones’, a joint production between Iranian and Afghan filmmakers, has released footage from behind the scenes.

The film, written and directed by Jamshid Mahmoudi and produced by Navid Mahmoudi, began screening in Iranian theaters on Friday, September 13.

The film depicts the story of Azim, an Afghan refugee who lives in Tehran along with his family.

After finding out that his mother is in dire need of a kidney transplant, he must make a tough choice between his own life and that of his mother.

Starring in the film are Mohsen Tanabandeh, Fatemeh Hosseini, Mojtaba Pirzadeh, Fereshteh Hosseini, and Fatemeh Mirzaei.

The Mahmoudi Brothers’ flick was recently awarded Best Film at the SAMA International Film Festival in Sweden.

In 2018, the 89-minute film also named 'Rona, Azim's Mother' was awarded at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
