Directed by Malihe Gholamzadeh, the short film ‘Tangle’ has been selected to vie at Sedicicorto International Film Festival in Italy.

‘Tangle’ along with 14 other shorts from Iran will compete at the 16th edition of the fest.

‘Tangle’ is a war story narrating the separation of people from their homeland due to war and the subsequent crisis.

The seven-minute animation was produced in 2019.

The short has been presented in several festivals including the 10th We Like 'Em Short Film Festival in Oregon. It also was awarded the Narrative Grand Prize at US film festival.

Starting its work from 2004, Sedicicorto is held annually to provide the young filmmakers with an opportunity to exchange ideas.

The fest tries to draw the attention of the children and the young audience by holding workshops and other activities.

The festival is slated for October 4-13, 2019.
