Iran toon ‘Tangle’ to vie at Bulgarian film event

Iranian short animation ‘Tangle’ has been scheduled to attend the Early Bird International Student Film Festival in Bulgaria.

The multiple award-winning short directed by Maliheh Qolamzadeh will be in competition with 15 other animated works from around the world at the animation section of the Bulgarian film event.

‘Tangle’ is about a girl’s experience of the war. It shows how a little girl has lost all her family members to a cruel war.

The short has already screened in a number of international film festivals and won awards including, the Narrative Grand Prize at the ‘Short to the Point’ Film Festival in Romania.

Launched in 2005, the Early Bird International Student Film Festival is the biggest Bulgarian forum dedicated to support the creation of student short films.

The festival is fully devoted to help young filmmakers to reach their audience.

The 15th edition of the film festival is slated for November 1-5, 2019.
