‘Infiltration’ begins filming new season

Iranian series resumes filming after six month pause.

Iranian television series ‘Infiltration’ continues filming after a six month hiatus.

Produced by Mohsen Ali-Akbari, the crew began filming on a train in Tehran’s railway station two days ago.

According to the producer, there are not many actors who will star in the railway scenes and one of the main characters, actress Yalda Afsharinia who plays the role of Mahnaz, will be starring in the main role in these scenes.

Ali-Akbari, who has the production of the ‘Saint Mary’ series in his resume, said that he expects ‘Infiltration’ to take about four months to complete.

On the filming locations, the producer stated that in addition to the current locations in the capital city of Tehran, there are a total of 12 other settings which the series will be filmed in, including locations in northern Iran along with various villages and mountainous regions.

Directed by Javad Shamaqdari, ‘Infiltration’ is a depiction of the US government’s meddling in Iranian affairs while questioning capitalist ideals.
