‘Black Eared’ by Behzad Azadi has been qualified to attend the 30th annual New Orleans Film Festival in the US.

Iran-Sweden joint production will compete in the short film section of the Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Festival to make its international debut.

Azadi’ 15-min short drama is about a young actress who is working as a kindergarten teacher but she is incapable of doing her job. Her attitude makes the kindergarten's manager suspicious and she is about to get fired because of child abuse. Meanwhile, she has to prepare herself for a theater play "Black Eared".

This year’s New Orleans festival is set to feature over 200 screenings from a highly diverse group of local, national and international filmmakers.

Festgoers will be also invited to exclusive screenings, receptions, panel discussions and workshops featuring industry leaders ad competitions.

The upcoming edition of the festival is slated for October 16-23, 2019.
