Iranian actor/director Masoud Rayegan says in an ifilm exclusive his theater production ‘Angel of Death’ is a reflection on Syria terror.

“I think it was two or maybe several years ago … when a terrorist ripped out a Syrian soldier’s heart and took a bite… Where is humanity heading to? [and] that was the reason why ‘Angel of Death’ is being staged,” Rayegan noted in the interview.

“In 1996, I received the two plays of ‘Angel of Death’ and ‘Ms. M’ and translated both plays,” the director also said about how he came up with the storyline of his theater production.

Rayegan’s new theater project is an adaptation of two monologues ‘The Angel of Death’ and ‘Ms. M’ which is designed, translated and directed by the Iranian artist.

‘Angel of Death’ is about a young man with the dark shadow of war taking away his love and destroying his city. He changes into a killing machine unintentionally and kills as much as he can under the banner of revenge. 'Ms. M' is about a woman who is the victim of betrayal. Betrayal of a husband who abandones his wife and child when he gets promoted in society, leaving them to marry another woman.
