The Global Music Awards has honored ‘El Sueño’ (the dream) by Ehsan Matouri and Alireza Qorbani from Iran.
Composed by Matouri and sung by Qorbani as well as Argentinean mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian, ‘El Sueño’ is selected as one of the bronze medal winners in the latest list of the Global Music Awards.
Released in August, the Persian and Spanish song in fusion genre was welcomed by the music fans across the globe.
In summer, Matouri created a project called ‘The Voice and Bridges’ to show the peaceful connections between Farsi and other languages. ‘El Sueño’ was one of the pieces in the project.
‘Athnasia’ by Mehrzad Khajeh-Amiri and ‘Middle Eastern’ by Mehdi Rajabian and other Middle Eastern artists, both from Iran, were among the silver medal winners of the previous editions of the Global Music Awards in 2019.
Qorbani is a traditional vocalist. He has been the vocalist at the National Orchestra for many years and has joined many national and international concerts and festivals. He has recorded more than 20 music albums.
Established 2011 in California, the US, the Global Music Awards is a well-known international music competition, which celebrates independent musicians. It presents the winners with gold, silver and bronze medals.
