The fifth edition of the Technology and Industry Film and Photography Festival (Farda) has announced the winners on Monday.
Winners in different categories were honored during the closing ceremony. The winners are as follows:
Documentary:
The Special Mention of the forum for the Best Director was given to Hamid Alidad and Baqer Soroush for ‘Electric Arc’.
The certificate and award for the Best Documentary were granted to Elham Maroufi for her ‘330 cc Memory’.
The Honorary Diploma of this category went to Bahram Azimi for ‘The Sixth String’.
Student Films:
The Best Director award was bestowed to Nasser Nasserpour for ‘Wage’.
Honorary Diploma of this category went to Abedin Mohammadi’s ‘Turning’ and Seyyed-Safiollah Hosseini’s ‘Certificate’.
Animation:
‘Switchman’ by Mehdi Khorramian received the Best Director award.
‘The Sixth String’ garnered the Special Mention of the jury for the Best Director.
The Honorary Diploma of the category was given to ‘Martyr Modarres Complex’ by Ali Nikoukar.
TV Documentaries:
‘New Path’ by Vahid Faraji harvested the Best Director award.
‘Compensation’ by Hessam Eslami received Special Mention of the jury for the Best Director.
The Honorary Diploma of the category was given to Ahmed Shafiee’s ‘War of the Waves’.
Feature Section:
Narges Rostami and Javad Vatani respectively received the Best Director award for ‘The Scout’ and ‘Vars’.
Two Honorary Diplomas were presented to Mohammad Dehestani for his ‘View’ and Reza Sheikhlani for his ‘Andimeshk Train’.
The Farda film festival aims at improving communication between cineastes and the heads of scientific and industrial institutions in Iran and promoting the production of documentaries on Iran's scientific, technological and industrial achievements.
It also aims to contribute to producing educational films that help to transfer knowledge from experts to students.
Headed by Behzad Rashidi, the 5th edition of the Farda was held on October 7-9, 2019.
