Iranian actress Behnaz Jafari to judge at Tokyo FILMex fest

Iranian actress Behnaz Jafari has been selected as a jury member at the Tokyo FILMex International Film Festival in Japan.

Jafari is a theater, television and cinema actress. She studied Dramatic Literature.

In 1994, she started her professional career by playing a small role in the movie ‘Blue Scarf’.

She has played in various films and movies and her performance in ‘A House on the Water’ (2001) won a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 20th Fajr International Film Festival.

The 2019 edition of the Tokyo FILMex presents the Japanese audience the unique and creative cinema from Asia and around the world.

The festival provides filmmakers and guests with opportunities for constructive exchange with Japanese film industry professionals and the local audience.

The 20th edition of the Tokyo FILMex is slated for November 23-December 1, 2019.
