Baran Kosari joins ‘Slaughterhouse’

 ifilm star of ‘The Third Day’ Baran Kosari has joined the cast of new feature film ‘Slaughterhouse’ by Abad Amini.

This movie project which is currently at its pre-production stage marks the first time ever that Kosari and Abad Amini will work together.

Born in 1985, Kosari is the daughter of an artistic couple. Her father is film producer Jahangir Kosari and her mother is director Rakhshan Bani-Etemad.

She has played roles in the movies such as ‘Blue Scarf’, ‘Dancing in the Dust’, ‘The Third Day’, ‘Nothing’ and ‘Forced Blessing’.

‘Slaughterhouse’ has already taken on Mani Haqiqi and Amir-Hossein Fathi as two other actors to appear in the flick.

The script for the film which has been co-written by Abbas Amini and Hossein Farrokhzadeh is a narrative of some contemporary social issues.

According to a media report, the project will kick off shooting soon and some of the filming locations have been announced to be in the capital city, Tehran and in the south of the country.

Amini has so far directed a number of successful hits including ‘Hendi and Hormoz’, a title which has already attended some prestigious film events.
