Theme songs evoke recently departed Iran lyricist memory

Popular Iranian series lyricist Afshin Yadollahi, who passed on at the age of 48, had written theme song lyrics for several memorable Iranian series airing on ifilm English channel.

Yadollahi died on Wednesday March 25 due to injuries he sustained during a car accident on Tuesday night.

His wife and brother-in-law were also severely injured in the accident.

Yadollahi was a renowned Iranian lyricist whose works were used in the opening and closing credits for many Iranian television series.

The newly departed wrote the theme song lyrics for several series such as ‘The Tenth Night’, ‘The Forbidden Fruit’, and ‘Zero Degree Turn’ shown on ifilm.

His latest lyrics were sung by popular Iranian vocalist Salar Aqili in the historical series ‘The Enigma of the Shah.’

The closing credits song for ‘Tabriz in Fog’ series, directed by Mohammad-Reza Varzi and currently airing on ifilm, was also written by Yadollahi.
