‘Popular’ casts Fatemeh Motamed-Arya

Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed-Arya has joined the cast of new cinematic production ‘Popular’.

Actor in ifilm series ‘Under the Blade’ joins Soheil Beiraghi’s new film to play the starring role of the project.

Born in 1962, Motamed-Arya made her cinematic debut in ‘Struggle’.

She later joined Iraj Tahmasb and Hamid Jebeli to become one of the most successful acting trios in the nation, collaborating on blockbusters such as ‘Red Cap and Cousin’, ‘Once Upon A Time’ and ‘The Pastry Girl’.

She has won several awards so far including the Crystal Simorgh at Fajr International Film Festival for ‘Spouse’.

Although no details on the film story have been published yet, it is said that it will have a feminine story just like its director earlier two works ‘Cold Sweat’ and ‘Me’.

According to a media report, the film, which is currently at its pre-production stage, will soon announce the full cast list and kick off shooting.
