Ali Pourkiani (producer): The 5-episode series is directed and written by Hossein Mahkam. I’ve known Mr. Mahkam for 4 years. He had written a screenplay for a tele-film which was directed by another person. Me and Mr. Mahkam have been friends for years and we have similar ideas.
Hossein Mahkam: Every filmmaker hopes that people from different walks of life become interested in their projects.
Ali Pourkiani: The screenplay that was written by Mr. Mahkam is for all groups of people and everyone can watch this mini-series. It is somehow related to the Laylat-al Qadr Nights and the story takes place during those nights.
Sirous Abdoli (director of photography): this series ‘On Call for the Heart’ takes place during the holy month of Ramadan, and I feel lucky that once again I was fortunate enough to work on another series for this holy month.
We used to cameras due to the atmosphere of the project and in order to make it pleasant and believable for the audience. Because we used two cameras we needed two professional teams, but on the other hand, the actors were able to talk simultaneously. I mean their dialogs and the sound recording can be stable and consistent and that’s what makes the atmosphere more realistic.
ifilm: The series focuses on a young doctor and what he faces when he’s confronted with a rather strange patient. Bahareh Rahnama, Mohsen Kiaee, Linda Kiani and Atila Pesyani star in the series.
