China to Host ‘Highlight’

Iranian movie ‘Highlight’ is slated to vie at the Golden Rooster Awards in China.

Asghar Naeemi, the film which is to hit Iranian cinemas in winter, will be screened at the Chinese event later in November.

‘Highlight’ produced by Sasan Salour was a contender at the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

A brief synopsis for the romantic-drama reads, “A car accident brings people face to face with each other. Caring for the injured and waiting for them to regain consciousness is a long and painful wait...”

Pejman Bazeghi from ‘Passing through the Hardships’, Azadeh Zarei from the hit series ‘The Sound of Rain’, and ‘A Passenger to Rey’ star Jamshid Hashempour will be accompanied by Sam Gharibian, Mina Vahid, and Elaheh Hesari to make up the film’s main cast.

The 28th edition of the Golden Rooster Awards is slated for November 19-23, 2019.
