The director of ‘On Call for the Heart’ says in an ifilm exclusive that people from different walks of life can relate to his story.
“It’s a social theme, a social story; it focuses on a young cardiologist who’s on call in a hospital,” said director Hossein Mahkam.
“Every filmmaker hopes that people from different walks of life become interested in their projects,” he added.
“The film’s story is about a young doctor who, on Ahya Night of the holy month of Ramadan, receives a strange patient in the emergency room and gets involved with the patient,” said Pourkiani.
‘On Call for the Heart’ is a realistic social drama which takes place during the Laylat al-Qadr nights and the holy month of Ramadan.
Laylat al-Qadr or the Night of Destiny is of great significance for Shia and Sunni Muslims on which it is believe that Islam's holy book, the Quran, was revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
