‘Dream of Sohrab’ aims for Fajr premiere

Actor/director Ali Qavitan has officially registered his latest feature ‘Dream of Sohrab’ for the 38th annual Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.

“The film is ready for screening and we’ve filled out the form to take part in the 38th Fajr Film Festival,” Qavitan said.

‘Dream of Sohrab’ is a biopic based on the life of celebrated 20th century Iranian poet and painter, Sohrab Sepehri.

Sepehri is considered one of Iran’s top modern poets whose work has been translated in several languages including Spanish, English, Italian, and French.

In addition to directing the film, Qavitan will also be starring as the renowned poet.

Other members of the cast include Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani, Bahreh Kian-Afshar, Laleh Eskandari, Tarlan Parvaneh, Mina Jafarzadeh, Hossein Mohammadian, Abolfazl Miri, Davoud Khalili, and Mehrdad Davari.
