Directed by Saeed Roustaee, ‘6.5 per Meter’ (Just 6.5) has been selected to go on screen at the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
The cinematic work is a social drama that deals with the issue of illegal drug trade and trafficking.
It is the story of a veteran narcotics officer and his team who search every corner of the capital to hunt down the city’s largest drug kingpin.
Peyman Maadi, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Parinaz Izadyar, Houman Kiaee, Farhad Aslani, Marjan Qamari, and Mohammad Ali Mohammadi are on the film’s cast list.
‘6.5 Per Meter’ has gone on screen at global events such as the 76th Venice International Film Festival in Italy and the 15th Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland where it grabbed the jury special mention.
The 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival in Japan recently honored the movie with Best Director and Best Actor (Navid Mohammadzadeh) awards.
Started in 1952, the IFFI aims to provide a platform for cinemas across the world to showcase the art of filmmaking.
Based on the event’s official website “This fest is India’s most prestigious festival and the first International Film Festival held anywhere in Asia”.
The fest is slated for November 20-28, 2019.
