Iran's high-grossing animation ‘The Elephant King’ has hit the silver screens in Russia.
Directed by Hadi Mohammadian, the 90-minute animation kicked off screening on Saturday November 16, 2019 at some 400 movie theaters in Russia.
Upon completion of the film’s dubbing in Russia, ‘The Elephant King’ will also go on screen in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The flick has already attracted a large number of Russian audiences. It is anticipated to set a new box office record in the country.
Besides shining at the Iranian box office, ‘The Elephant King’ was ranked among bestselling titles at box office in Lebanon.
Set in Africa, the animation narrates the story of an elephant who rules over its group like a king.
The queen bears him a son and everybody expects the son to replace his father as heir to the throne. The clumsy baby elephant, however, disappoints them all.
