ifilm website has revealed a trailer for Iranian feature ‘Suddenly a Tree’.
Directed by Safi Yazdanian, the film’s story is set during Iraq-Iran war, when Farhad gets arrested for an illegal attempt to immigrate.
Being released after some years, he decides to go after the love of his life, Mahtab.
The 91-minute film follows Farhad’s life as he talks to his psychiatrist about his childhood and adulthood.
Peyman Maadi, Mahnaz Afshar, Zohreh Abbasi, Siamak Safari, Shaqayeq Dehqan, Mehrab Qasemkhani, Pantea Panahiha, and Arman Moradi are on the cast list of ‘Suddenly a Tree’.
The film was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Soundtrack at the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
It has gone on screen at global events such as the 24th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea and is scheduled to open the 2019 Persian Film Festival in Australia.
