Iran’s short ‘Funfair’ wins UK fest award

Iranian short film ‘Funfair’ has succeeded to grab the special mention of the 2019 Winchester Film Festival (WFF) in the UK.

“Majid, a financially struggling man, comes up with a ploy in order to better the life of his wife, Sara,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the short was screened at the 17th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

WFF selects award-winning short films from over 60 countries and premiers them in the city of Winchester.

The fest was slated for November 11-16, 2019.
