Iranian movie ‘Open Sore’ is set to apply for a slot at the 2017 Fajr International Film Festival.

Iranian movie ‘Open Sore’ by Hossein Tabrizi is to submit an application to attend the 35th edition of Fajr International Film Festival.

The director told the media on Saturday that his new film’s editing has been wrapped up and ‘Open Sore’ can now apply for a slot at Fajr Festival’s screening schedule.

Sound mixing and music composition for the movie is still in development, the director noted, adding, ‘Open Sore’ will be ready till the end of April.

“The movie is about young people in Iran,” the director said about the storyline.

The 35th International Fajr Film Festival and its local counterpart, Fajr Film Festival, are Iran’s most important cinematic events. The former is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.

Gilda Vishkee, Pendar Akbari and Mehri Alagha are on the cast list of the flick.
