Iranian short film ‘Pain is Mine’ has grabbed an award at the Super Shorts London Film Festival in the UK.

Iranian short film ‘Pain is Mine’ has grabbed an award at the Super Shorts London Film Festival in the UK.

The Best Experimental Film award of the 13th edition of the English film event has gone to Iranian-Australian filmmaker Farshid Akhlaqi’s short flick.

The long-take flick depicts one day in the life of a senior lady who is addicted to taking pain killers. Once she tries to break her habit and quit taking pills.

The 12:30-minute short has so far attended a number of film festivals and won awards including the experimental film award from the 2019 edition of the Boston Short Film Festival in the US.

Founded in 2003, the Super Shorts London Film Festival is an annual event which celebrates the independent short film talents from around the world.

The latest edition of the event was held on December 5-7, 2019.
