ifilm English to bring ‘Matador’ back

ifilm English website has reported that the TV channel has set to air the series ‘Matador’.

Airing of the series, produced by Javad Norouzbeigi and directed by Farhad Najafi, will start on January 8, 2020.

In ‘Matador’, the representative of the European Union is planning to visit Iran; a visit meant to boost relations with Tehran. Major Hamed and his special unit are tasked with preventing any instability and insecurity in the country during the senior official’s trip.

But soon they realize they’re dealing with a terror network that is actually planning the assassination of the EU representative during his stay in Iran.

The cast list includes Sam Derakhshani, Pouriya Poursorkh, Poulad Kimiaee, Shaqayeq Farahani, Linda Kiani, Aliram Nouraee, Majid Moshiri, Majid Vasheqani, and Sirous Hemmati.

‘Matador’, made in 2013, is scheduled to replace the series ‘Detectives’, to be broadcast daily at 22:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the drama next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 . The series is comprised of 11 episodes.
