‘Time to Change’ makes CortoConfine Fest finalist

Iran short film ‘Time to Change’ has been shortlisted as the finalist for the 1st edition of the CortoConfine International Movie Festival in Italy.

Penned and director by Maryam Rahimi, ‘Time to Change’ is about some women who need to change their lives under the societal pressures and the difficulties of their lives.

The 15-min short flick, produced by Amir Parvin Hosseini, previously received an honorable mention at the 1st edition of the Nostalgia Film Festival (NFF), an independent Iranian film event established by Iranian director Mohammad Qanefard in Milan, Italy.

‘Time to Change’ has also grabbed a nom at the London International Filmmaker Festival, Cayenne Short Film Festival in NY as well as Prato Film Festival in Italy. 

Rahimi’s short film ‘Mare Nostrum’ (2016) has been award-winner of the call MigrArti, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.

The selected short entered CortoConfine finals along with Payam Hosseini’s ‘He’ which narrates the story of an old couple who live alone in a remote area.

The CortoConfine Film Festival focuses on the concept of border. The event makes people think of the possibility of crossing and traveling across borders.

The 2020 CortoConfine is slated for February 28-29.
