‘Bright Shadows’ ready to hit screens

New feature-length documentary ‘Bright Shadows’ on the human cost of the Syrian uprising through women's eyes is ready to go on screen.  

Hossein Neshati’s doc drama is an unflinching look at the uniquely female cost of war in Syria – more specifically female-headed households.

The documentary seeks to depict the lives of women in war-torn Syria who, after the martyrdom of their husbands, become breadwinners and have to earn a living by working in a mineral water factory in Aleppo, Syria.  

With the production been kicked off a year ago covered by long-term field research, ‘Bright Shadows’ is currently ready to go on screen at international film festivals in two 30-minute versions narrated in Arabic. The doc is also prepared in a 42-min version narrated in Farsi for premiere on small screens.
