‘The Feast of the Goat’ to vie at Fajr Film Festival

Iranian short ‘The Feast of the Goat’ is to vie at the 38th Fajr Film Festival.

Iranian short ‘Exam’ has been selected to compete at the 38th Fajr Film Festival (FFF).

Written by Saeed Zamanian, the title will be one of the competing films at the short films section of the event.

The short’s very short synopsis reads “Children never forget anything”.

The short film has been nominated for the Best Short Script Award at the 9th Paris Art and Movie Awards in France.

It has also gone on screen at some global events, including the 18th Almeria International Film Festival in Spain as well as the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh, and is slated to compete at the 2020 Kinofilm Festival in the UK.

Established in 1982, the FFF is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films. Since its establishment, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 38th FFF is set to kick off on February 1, 2020 and will run till February 11 in Tehran.
