‘The Feast of the Goat’ releases trailer

Iranian short film ‘The Feast of the Goat’ directed by Saeed Zamanian has unveiled its official trailer.

The release comes following the announcement of the film’s acceptance for the short film competition at the 38th Fajr Film Festival.

With a caption on the film’s description reading “Children never forget anything”, the film was nominated in France for the Paris Art and Movie Awards’ Best Short Script prize.

It has also been screened at film festivals in Spain and Bangladesh with a scheduled appearance at the UK’s Kinofilm Festival later this year.

The Fajr Film Festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors along with up and coming filmmakers from Iran every year.

The 38th edition of the event is set to launch on February 1, 2020 and will run until February 11 in Tehran.

An international version of the event is also set to be held in April 2020.
